I like iCal, but always wanted the ability to add events using natural language. Thanks to the developer for making it free.

This does exactly what is says it does. And it does it well! One hotkey and a simple text entry and you have an entry to your iCal. Checklists, dates, whatever. Its perfect for time managment, assignment due dates, etc. A must have. And best of all, its free

All of the Quickcal apps (dashboard, iphone and now this one) are fantastic - Im amazed Apple and not snapped this company up. Saves a ton of time setting up ical events. The developer truely loves his product and is attentive to users requests, so this app grows to do what you want and need it to do. Quickly! Thanks for keeping it going and free - although Id gladly pay for it.

This would be great, but it crashes every time I try to add a new task/todo. The calendar events seem to add fine. Actually, I should say I either get an error "cant add event" or some such, or it crashes outright every time I try to add a task/todo. Ive searched the forum and elsewhere and cant find a solution. If I can fix this, Id give it a 4 or 5.

I have been looking for something like this. I rarely used iCal before because it just was not ‘easy/convenient’ to enter data. The learning curve with QuickCal is relatively easy and somewhat fun. You can watch in real time the results of whatever text you enter. I have not had this program for long but I have tried setting events and todos with warning notifications prior to date and time with success and ease. I also synced my iCal to my ipod touch and the notification of events worked to alert me of the set appointments. I would recommend this app to anyone that has an underused or overused iCal app. Just keeps getting better with every update! It works, its simple to use, and it’s free. Thank You Smelly. Puppy.

This app is amazing. I used to use the widget but this is much better.Now i dont even need to use iCal, i can do everything from there and it will be saved in iCal and therefore synched with my iPhone and iPad! It is a great tool to stay organized. It’s great and it never fails understanding the wording.

Launchbar and Google Calendar support makes me weepy with happiness. Best calendar entry app out there, hands down.

This app is simple, fast, and elegant. Its easy to learn how to use it and it works very well with iCal. Before I had this app I could scarcely be bothered to add items to my calendars and reminder lists. This was a very bad thing since I am very forgetful. Now, as thoughts of things I have to do occur to me, I can record them in seconds. The developer support on this app is also really great. For me, this is a must-have app.

Bought this app under the impression that they had an extension for Alfred. Couldnt get extension to work, contacted them, have heard nothing. So basically, this was wasted money because if I cant use Alfred, Calendar is just fine all by itself, no over priced but possibly handy update app needed.

Initially I thought that this was a great unobtrusive utility but due to time zone problems, Ive moved on to Fantastical. There are problems with time zones that the developer has promised but failed to fix. Not been updated for a while. Ive uninstalled.

I got this to work alongside Alfred to easily add appointments to my Google Calendar. It works great, except there are some glaring bugs that have never been addressed. I’ve contacted support to no avail. Just check their Twitter account to see no activity in months. Is this dead? They’re just collecting money for a broken product that has so much potential.

Don’t buy this app. This app is the definition of "you get what you pay for ». Half-working in french despite being advertised as working in that language. The app itself isn’t very stable, crashes a lot. Wish there was a refund option… Buy Fantastical, it does the job way better than this college project grade app.

Bugs reported but basically left unfixed. This app has not been updated for ages. I now find that the text entry is sluggish and the QuickCal window flickers when typing (with OS 10.11.4 on a MacBook Air). An old bug… Hot Key settings return to default after a restart (and the default conflicts with the text centering command in Quark Xpress). Looking for alternatives.

Its very convenient if youre an iCal user. Even with iCals quick entry, this is a must have because he can enter appointments, etc. without iCal open.

It would be funny, if it werent so sad that Mr. McLoser gave a fantastic App a 1 star rating because the developer asked for a rating. Ridiculous! Anyway, I absolutely love QuickCal for its simplicity and accuracy. At first, I kept opening my events in iCal, not believing that this tiny little App could do in a matter of a few seconds what would take much, much longer to open iCal and enter the same thing. Not anymore, I make my entry and go on to what I was doing, secure in the knowledge that QuickCal has done its job.

Works seamlessly. THe most annying thing about iCal was having to spend an age creating and typing new events, and then changing the start and finish times manually. This app makes it a hundred times faster and easier. Best app I have downloaded so far.

I use it almost everyday. Does what it says. That means a 5 star from me
